Writer & author of Archipelago
Archipelago is an historical action-adventure set in 1871, beginning in London and sweeping across the Aegean.
Celia is a disillusioned debutante who would rather swing a sword than her skirts. Her world is upended when she receives a letter from her presumed-dead brother Lewis, now in hiding and embroiled in their late parents’ secret lives as illegal treasure hunters. He summons her to find him on an abandoned Greek island.
Lewis’ trail draws Celia into the murky underworld of Limehouse, London’s original Chinatown, where she joins forces with Lin, a half-Chinese laundress with a gentleman’s education, and Ralf, a cagey Scottish mobster fleeing his past. Each has their own reasons for sailing to Greece.
Together, they embark on a perilous odyssey across the Aegean, encountering gangsters, crooked archaeologists, and a pirate ship crewed exclusively by deadly women, all while unknowingly shadowed by a secret society with sinister motives.
As they close in on Lewis, Celia begins to realise that nothing – not her companions, her brother, nor his intentions – is what she believed. Will she survive the journey and finally reach the truth?
